AICE Course: Black Nationalist Thought

What does it mean to be Black in a “Post-Racial Society”? Afros. Black Theology. Dashikis. Black Studies. The Black Power Movement of the 1960s gave birth to a new wave of radical energy. With fists waved proudly in the air and thunderous demands for Black Power, a generation of thinkers, leaders, and artists revolutionized the church, the academy, and culture. Drawing from foundational texts of the Black Power Era, this class will explore religious, educational, and cultural forms of Black Nationalism.
