Join us for a FREE concert featuring the historic Spelman College Glee Club as they continue their “Road to 100” celebration in anticipation of their centennial season!
The Glee Club is the premiere performance organization for Spelman College, maintaining a reputation for choral excellence since 1924. Currently under the direction of Dr. Kevin Johnson, this acclaimed group performs a diverse repertoire including:
- Selections from world cultures
- Sacred and secular choral literature
- Negro spirituals
- Music by African American composers
- Compositions highlighting women’s voices
A Legacy of Excellence
From their first concert in 1925 to performances at the White House, National Museum of American History, and international venues across Canada, Brazil, Portugal, and Italy, the Spelman College Glee Club continues to “Amaze and Inspire” with every note.
